My name is Alexander Santiago-Mesinas. I was born in Long Island, New York, and I’m of Peruvian and Puerto Rican heritage. I’m a senior at Indiana University studying Fashion Design with a minor in Italian. I like creating clothing with the purpose of making the wearer feel confident, comfortable, and authentically themselves. My drive for fashion comes from a desire to tell stories through clothing. I’m drawn to the way garments can communicate emotion, memory, and identity without words.
